INNER LEAF is a specialist model boat studio based in Dublin, Ireland, founded in 2011 by architect Adam Mellotte. From the outset, the studio has been shaped by Adam’s curiosity and hands-on approach to making, informed by both his architectural training and a strong interest in exploration and design.

A willingness to engage with new ideas and technologies has been central to INNER LEAF’S development, from early work producing assembly animations to the studio’s introduction to 3D printing and its first exhibition in 2012 at the world’s first dedicated 3D printing show in London. This open and iterative approach continues to influence the projects undertaken and the clients the studio works with.

While INNER LEAF has delivered work across a range of physical and digital sectors, model boat making remains the studio’s primary focus and the area that provides the greatest professional and personal satisfaction.
